I don't know where to begin we had such a Great time with Captian Chuck and his remarkable wife Linda!

We went on vacation to the Big Island Hawaii, Kona side and chartered a "different" boat the first trip out deep sea fishing and we were left feeling disappointed.... But, as we were leaving the docks we stopped to Admire Chuck and Linda's beautiful boat the Fire Hatt. They had just come in and were cleaning or shall I say Polishing their boat and equipment, needless to say we chartered them the next day. Wow, what a difference in professionalism, experience, knowledge, gorgeous boat and Unbeatable Hospitality made for the experience. I truly was surprised at what effort they took into making our family's trip the Best and Most Memorable experience possible. Our seven year old son just couldn't get enough of Chuck and Linda so we went out for Another day and our only complaint was it was at the end of our vacation and we could only enjoy the time we spent on the Fire Hatt those two days.

It has been three weeks since we have left the Big Island and our son is Still talking daily about Chuck, Linda and the Fire Hatt experience.

Thank You Again for being the Best part of our two week vacation to Hawaii! You really went above and beyond any of our expectations.

See you next year!

Chuck and Linda,

I would just like to thank you again for taking my family and I out on your boat fishing for the morning (July 26).

Even though we didn't catch anything but a giant net ;) we all had a wonderful time with you guys. You are wonderful people and made us all feel like we were just out on a boat with family. When I come back to Kona, I will be sure to look you guys up again and go out on a deep sea fishing adventure again!

Yvonne and Vincent from Singapore start the New Year out with two of the three Shibi-Ahi caught early this month. They had six bites, three Ahi they landed, a Stripe Marlin they had on for several minutes, and a few mystery bites.... what an action packed day!

We were in Hawaii for our honeymoon. Quinn had always wanted to go sport fishing. After looking online and not really knowing anything about who to pick we emailed the concierge at Mauna Lani Resort. They recommended two fishing charter companies. After checking out both companies online, we booked with Fire Hatt. We went out fishing with Captain Chuck and his lovely wife Linda and their deckhand Dan. They were super nice, and know their stuff about fishing as they have been doing it for years at various places around the country. The boat is high end, very clean and comfortable. Quinn caught a 46 1/2 lb spearfish, which was his first sport fish and he will remember it forever. We sat up on the covered bridge while fishing where it is cooler, blocks the hot sun and provides an excellent view for miles. We saw lots of pilot whales, some flying fish, a shark and loved looking out at the clear blue water. Like many of you we really didn’t know much about the local charters or which one would provide a great experience. We got lucky with Fire Hatt, so much so that we booked a second trip that week since it was such a great experience the first time. They are great people and never once did we get the impression that they were just doing their job as they genuinely seemed to love being out on the water and being social. The boat is great, rides nice and feels safe, has a bathroom and lots of room, the crew is excellent and we recommend them highly and will use them again when we return to Hawaii. Thank you for the experience of a life time Chuck, Linda and Dan.
